The Robertson Small Hotel
Travelling, it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller
In a little town called Robertson, you’ll find an oasis called the Robertson Small Hotel. A boutique hotel that is epicurean in every way.
You know when the key chain to your room is by your favourite designer Pichulik, you’re in for a treat. The attention to detail is astounding and it will soon become home, a place of tranquility and somewhere that will remain in your heart for years to come.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, each unique and beyond comfortable with a signature of their own, so it won’t really matter which you book as they are all lovely! It goes without saying that no detail is left unturned. The bespoke bath products are organic and local and smell heavenly, as are the organic cotton gowns, in his and hers, along with anything else your heart desires. I also especially loved the Mungo towels and swim sheets, also local and well, simply divine.
There is also a restaurant for all meals, so in fact, you don’t ever have to leave. Exploring Robertson and its wine valley is however totally worth it. Back to the restaurant – a complete epicurean experience. Simple, delicious food – sublime! Cocktail hour is also a treat, a chance to mingle with other guests and enjoy your favourite tipple with an amuse bouche from the Chef.
You may be used to travelling first class, but here, the small things make a big difference and this place will become part of you. Leaving you with memories and a yearning to return time and again.
Until next time, Lucie
