A table d’hôte style eatery located in the quirky neighbourhood of Observatory with a focus on social dining.

Each evening, chef patron Julia Hattingh welcomes guests to sit around her bespoke 18-seater table to enjoy a five-course meal exclusively created for them and accompanied by carefully selected wines. 

Although casual fine dining, it is quaint and cosy and rustic and Chef Julia is a master-hand at her carefully curated menu. It changes often depending on seasonality, but one thing is for certain, only the finest ingredients are used. Carefully sourced from speciality local producers, Julia takes pride in their provenance. 

The menu is a journey over 5 courses, where stories of food and wine await. An intimate, dreamy space where one can escape the world and enjoy a dining experience with Julia and her lovely team. “Life is out there. When you’re in here, it’s different,” she says. “This is my little state of reverie, and all I’m doing is inviting everyone else to share it with me.”

A sojourn with strangers where one leaves as friends. 

Book and pay online, although there are credit card facilities available on the night should you prefer. The cost may seem a little steep, but for an intimate experience with epically smash-able wines, this will be savoured long after that last course has been served.
